Pieces Of A Paradox is a monthly broadcast on Pirate Radio Arazel. Pendar’eh Neek presents an hour of music. Styles range: Deep House, Disco, Soul, Funk, Jazz, Bossa, etc… Content from all over the world, and ranging from the earliest recorded sounds to the most contemporary expressions.

Pendar’eh Neek, disc jockey, sociologist, is a Canadian citizen, a resident of Toronto, born of Iranian parents in Allentown, Pennsylvania in 1978. Child of the eighties, and having come of age in the nineties, Pendar’s often mentor driven love of music had been firmly rooted in the jazz, soul, rhythm&blues heritage.

Mixtapes, college radio, and warehouse parties were the source of this wealth of music. At the same time, Pendar sought the oral culture in prose, poetry, and rap. This journey is unraveled in a social narrative; the various scenes Pendar encountered and interacted with has inspired him to move from consumer to producer.

Creating a vibe with music is a a magical feeling; it explains why there are so many DJs! Pendar seeks only to speak his language through music, and hopes you will esoterically understand every bar.
